Happy First Birthday Josie!!!

We recently celebrated Josie's first birthday!!! We can't believe how fast a year has passed. It was so much fun and so special to have our families and friend's around. Also, I've uploaded some photos from her 11th month as well. Also, there are a few from Halloween. She was a lil'stinker! It was so much fun.

And of course, I've added a couple of pics to the 10 month album below.

More Pics...

Haven't posted any pics in a while so here is a bunch! Josie has had her first days at the beach. She loves the water and the ocean waves. We've gone up to Sacramento to visit her Grammie and her Aunties. She's walking now and talking some, we are having lots of fun. We cant wait to celebrate her first birthday on Oct. 24th (its actually on the 26th). I can't believe its been a year already!

Our Recent trip to Boston

So we took Josie to the East Coast this summer. We were there for about 11 days and I think it rained 95% of the time. Oh how I miss New England weather...NOT! Although, I do love the summer thunderstorms. We had a few of those. Josie did really well. She loved being around the family and so did we. We had cousins and relatives over many nights and she just loved all of the attention. She even started crawling while we were back there. She's pretty much perfected it now so we are on the move! Scott and I went to my cousin Shaunna's wedding. It was really a really beautiful evening. She looked like a princess. While we were back there, we ate a lot of Lobster and Steamers. We didnt make it to the beach at all but we did get to swim in my Uncle's pool. I took Scott to go see the Boston fireworks from the park I always watched them from as a little girl. They were much smaller than I had remembered. The sun came out the last day we were there and we went to Uncle Tony and Stacey's house for a great BBQ. There are lots of pictures from that day. Of course the trip was bitter sweet with the situation that Julio is in but we are all praying for him everyday.

More Pics...

So, Josie is now 7 months old. She's sitting up and reaching up with her arms for us which is awesome. She has been going to swim class at the YMCA. I think she has had 3 already and she loves the water. We are planning to head back east and visit my family at the end of June. Actually, June 26 to July 6th to be exact. We can't wait to see everyone! I've added some 6 month pictures below and also some 7 month pics as well. I've also added a few more to the 5 month folder in the previous post. Check'em out.

Finally Uploaded New Pics

Well, I guess I've been busy. It's been a few months since I've updated this blog. Josie has been growing like a weed. At her recent Dr.'s appointment she weighed in at 13.5 lbs and is 26.5 inches long. Her eyes are still very blue and her hair seems to be getting blonder every day. She looks just like me :-). She's such a great baby. Sleeps well. Eats well. Loves to go out in the stroller and cruise around. The weather has been getting nicer around here (not that it was ever bad), so we've been getting out a bit more. Scott likes to take her to the park to see the fish and the ducks. She loves that. She's really started to "talk" a lot and try to put words together. It's more than cute. Check out the albums below. There are quite a few videos too.

New Camera

From january 2009

We just got a new camera. A digital SLR. Canon Rebel. Well Scott did. I get to use it though :-) Anyways, what a difference it makes. I just snapped a few shots of Josie. I cant wait to play around with it more.

Josies doing great. She's changing everyday. Lauging and cooing. We just went to the doctors last week. She's weighing in at 11 lbs./ 23 inches long.

Tata Nour Jammal 1925 - 2008

Josie and I had to take a sudden trip to the east coast for services for my Grandmother, Nour Jammal. It was pretty crazy to get everything together and go, especially with Josie, but I sure am glad that I did. Josie did surprisingly well on the plane. Luckily we had cousin Anthony with us. He did surprisingly well, too ;-). It was really amazing to have all of the family together to celebrate Tata's life. I cant even put into words how much I will miss her and I know that is how each of us feels. The services were beautiful! To see how many people she had in her life and whose lives she had touched was truly amazing. I think about her everyday. I think about what she would do if she were to be holding Josie and how she would be squeezing her so tight with a grin ear to ear and those crazy kisses she would give. I cant believe how much love my grandmother had for everyone that crossed her path. There are so many stories to tell about my grandmother. I will tell all of them to Josie. She will be talking to her children about Tata Nour. I will add more pictures to this album soon.

From Holiday Season

Well it was hectic but very nice. Josie thoroughly enjoyed her first holiday season. She got to spend Thanksgiving at home with her Tata Phine and then we took a little trip to Orange County to see the Roselli's. At Christmas, we went to Mimi and Poppi's and she got to meet her very cool Aunties and Uncles. Grammie Claudia came to stay with us for a week. Her and Josie had a lot to talk about. It was very very nice. It was the best holiday season she's ever had!

Every once in a while, while I was pregant, I would feel so sorry for Scott because our baby was not going to look anything like him. She was going to come out looking just like me, of course. Well, I will admit, she has his coloring. Her eyes are still blue. Because of this, most people say oh she's looks just like Scott. I definitely think she does resemble him in some ways but I'm posting both our baby pics to show ya'all...she looks like me too! :-) You be the judge.
